    Beautiful day, but…

the lady bug beetles or whatever they are called are so thick Tongue out  I didn’t venture outside this afternoon.  It is impossible to keep them out of the house.  The minute you walk outside they are all over you.  We have had  a couple of hard freezes and I thought that would take care of them, but no, every time the sun comes out they come back to life again.  Oh well, I will probably be wishing for this kind of day, lady bugs and all in another month or two.

I had a first happen today.  My new neighbor brought me my lunch, a delicious casserole portion and some French bread.  Usually I am the one giving.  I was really touched.

I can’t seem to get interested in my new book.  I don’t think it is nearly as good as Lisa Jackson’s previous books.  Or maybe I am just getting pickier as the years pass.

My sister is going with my niece Dee and her husband to Johns Hopkins for a follow up appointment regarding the liver transplant that my niece is needing.  They are leaving Tuesday morning.  We welcome all good thoughts and prayers for them for a safe trip and for good news from the doctor visit.

I hope this new week is a good one for us all.  Red heart

I have never had to deal with Ladybugs like that but do know how you feel Beth. We had the Grasshopper that were everyplace. I dont know if I could take that many Ladybugs either.. Sorry to hear this. Sounds like you had a very nice lunch.
Have a have a great night
Hugs and I bet the little ladies will be gone in no time if you have some frost. I wonder what spring will bring to your area. That really makes me think.

I think we've had beetles that seem to infest everything before but not in a long time. The weather here finally cooled down some...more what I would call normal for November. Today was cool and crisp but clear. I hate being disapointed by books don't you? I've not had a really gripping one in a while. I pray that all goes well for your niece...time for another victory in that health situation I'd say. Blessings to you my friend.

Sorry to hear you have so many lady bugs. I've heard that if the aphids are bad, you'll have a lot of lady bugs. We had them like you do last fall...couldn't walk outside without getting into a 'cloud' of them.
How wonderful to have lunch given to you...sounds like you have nice new neighbors...so glad for you.
Will be praying for your niece and family.

We had the transparent white things like Grandma's Many Blessings described but happily now we are bug free. It was misquitos, then bees, then misquitos again then the white things now just cold. And wow, nice neighbor!

hi beth, that was a nice neighbourly gesture, nice also it was made to you instead of the other way round. saying a prayer now for your niece and family - hugs nita.

    Keeping your niece in prayer!!
This is the first year we haven't had the ladybug beetle problem...strange, I wonder if they all defected to the U.S.A. Must have something to do with climate change perhaps?? What we are seeing this year, which we have never seen in the past are white, almost transparent flies...bigger than a mosquito, smaller than a moth. No idea what they are, where they came from, and why we are being bugged by them. I'd rather have the ladybugs...at least they are highly visible...but these white things are a bugger to catch when they get inside the house.
I am hoping for a good week for all of us as well....Take care Beth.
